Over the past week, the film outfit founded by showbiz stalwart Lily Monteverde released teasers for five films said to be “coming soon.”
Marking the first team-up of Enchong Dee and Janine Gutierrez is “Elise,” a true story-inspired romance film by Joel Ferrer. Dee and Gutierrez are respective talents of ABS-CBN and GMA-7.
Kapamilya star Enzo Pineda and Kapuso beauty queen Teresita Marquez, meanwhile, are paired up in what appears to be a time travel drama in “Time and Again,” directed by Jose Javier Reyes.
Jessy Mendiola and Arjo Atayde, both ABS-CBN stars, are a fresh tandem as they portray strangers who find romance during their time being trapped in a building, in a film fittingly titled “Stranded,” by Ice Idanan.
Also a new team-up, “Funny One” winner Donna Cariaga and “It’s Showtime” host Teddy Corpuz co-star in “Papa Pogi.” Also featuring Myrtle Sarrosa, the romance-comedy is directed by Alex Calleja.
In “Ang Henerasyong Sumuko sa Love,” by Jason Paul Laxamana, an ensemble cast shows different struggles of millennials in life and love. The lead stars include Jerome Ponce, Jane Oineza, Tony Labrusca, Myrtle Sarrosa, and Albie Casiño.
Finally, Matteo Guidicelli of ABS-CBN and Dennis Trillo of GMA-7 are first-time co-stars in “Mina-Anud,” about surfers in Eastern Samar who find sudden fortune through selling drugs. They’re also joined by Jerald Napoles in the film by Kerwin Go.
