MANILA -- McDonald's Philippines said Thursday it would hire 50 more senior citizens and persons with disabilities in 14 branches in Pasay City, giving the marginalized sectors more opportunities for employment.

The company earlier hired 100 seniors and PWDs in Manila and Pasig cities, McDonald's said in a statement.

McDonald's Philippines president Kenneth Yang and Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano signed a memorandum of agreement to hire seniors and PWDs, the company said.

"The partnership will provide them the opportunity to earn and develop new skills as they experience the same world class training as an order presenter, drink drawer, table manager or overall guest relations," McDonald's said.
