MANILA - Cebu Pacific is again looking for applicants for its "study now, pay later" program for cadet pilots.

The Philippines' largest airline said on Monday that it is looking for 16 new recruits for the ninth batch of cadet pilots who will be trained in Australia.

The airline said it will shoulder all the expenses of trainees, with successful cadet-pilots reimbursing the cost of the program through salary deduction over a maximum of ten years.

Graduates of the program will become full-fledged commercial pilots with guaranteed employment with Cebu Pacific.

Applicants must be Filipino college graduates who are proficient in English, with an average grade of at least 80 percent in Math, Physics and English, and in good physical condition, the airline said.

"The program entails 52 weeks of integrated flight training, theory and education at Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) in Adelaide, Australia—one of the best aviation schools in the region," Cebu Pacific said.

The cadet pilots will also undergo an additional 4 weeks of training to obtain a pilot's license under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

The airline said it will be accepting applications to the program from Nov. 4 to 13.

Applicants will need to present a valid passport with minimum validity of 2 years, a university transcript of records, an NBI clearance, and will need to shoulder a testing fee of 425 Australian dollars or about P15,000.
