MANILA - SM Supermalls said it was inspecting all its facilities in Davao, Cagayan de Oro and General Santos cities after a 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit Mindanao on Thursday.
It was the third strong earthquake to hit the southern Philippines this month and the second since Tuesday.
"A thorough inspection of all our facilities is currently ongoing. The safety of our customers, tenants and employees is our utmost priority," the mall operator said in a statement.
All personnel inside the malls are safe, it said.
A hotel in Kidapawan nearly collapsed, while a portion of a condominium in Davao City was heavily damaged.
