MANILA – The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) on Thursday said several banking services would be unavailable on Oct. 19 to give way to a “major systems upgrade.”

Starting 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, online banking, mobile app, ATMs, cash accept machines, debit card services, BizLink and ELink platforms will be temporarily unavailable, BPI said in an advisory.

“This is in line with our continuing efforts to provide more advanced services and capabilities for you...Please plan your weekend transactions accordingly,” the statement said.

Credit card and prepaid card services will still be accessible, the bank said.
