MANILA - Philam Life on Thursday denied allegations of wrongdoing that was lodged by a businesswoman.

The company said it was "cooperating fully" with the Insurance Commission's review of the case that was raised by businesswoman Mona Tan.

Tan had accused Philam Life and its agents Leticia Ang, Vincente Ang and Ernersto Lim of churning or terminating insurance policies to generate more commissions.

A hearing was set by the Insurance Commission on August 28, Tan's lawyer Leonardo Benedicto Jr. earlier said.

"We trust that the [Insurance] Commission will establish what is fair for all concerned, and will make an impartial decision," Philam Life said.
