MANILA -- Shares of the lottery equipment suppliers recovered on heavy volume in early trade Wednesday after President Rodrigo Duterte lifted the suspension on operations of thousands of lottery outlets.
Pacific Online Systems Inc, which leases equipment for government lottery operations in central and southern Philippines, gained as much as 14.2 percent.
Pacific Online's parent firm Premium Leisure Corp was up as much as 4.2 percent.
Berjaya Philippines Inc, supplier of lottery equipment in Luzon, climbed 9.7 percent.
The Philippine Stock Exchange Index was down 1.28 percent.
