MANILA - The Department of Public Works and Highways is moving "double time" to move government infrastructure projects, secretary Mark Villar said Monday.

Villar said his department had P800 billion worth of projects in the pipeline and that he would "compensate" for a "large deficit."

"We accept the challenge of the President to move faster and rest assured that the infrastructure plan is in place, it is happening at it is inevitable," Villar told ANC.

He said that under his watch, the DPWH had built 3,900 kilometers of roads and 120 bridges with more projects starting soon.
