MANILA - PLDT Inc on Thursday advised its customers in parts of Manila, Makati, Pasay, Laguna and Cavite that they might experience issues with voice and data services after several of the telco's fiber optic cables were cut.
The telco blamed the issue on vandalism and said it expected services to return to normal later in the day,
"We apologize for the inconvenience," PLDT said in a statement.
Earlier, the Land Transportation Office said that its systems were down and that its offices could not issue drivers licenses because PLDT was having issues with its fiber optic cables.
LTO said it was notified by PLDT that the fiber optic cables would be restored by 8 p.m. Thursday.
