MANILA - Megaworld Corp said Monday it would build a P20 billion township in Cainta, Rizal together with its subsidiary, Empire East Holdings.
The 24-hectare Highland City will house residential towers and the Highland Mall, which has a gross floor area of 58,000 square meters, Megaworld said in a disclosure to the stock exchange.
Empire East will develop around 38 residential towers in the township, said Megaworld executive vice president and chief strategy officer Kevin Tan.
Forty percent of the entire development will be dedicated to green and open spaces, the developer said.
Land development will start by the second quarter this year, Megaworld said.
