MANILA - A Facebook post telling impatient drivers to put wings on their cars has since been deleted by the admin of the official page of the Land Transportation Office-National Capital Region (LTO-NCR), as of posting.

Earlier on Monday, the LTO-NCR posted a road courtesy advice on Facebook telling motorists that horns are are supposed to be used to warn others on the road, not tell those in front to hurry up.

"Paalala. No. 71 ang gamit ng busina ay para magbigay ng babala. Mali pong bumusina dahil pinagmamadali ang nasa harapan," the LTO said in the post.

(Reminder. No. 71 horns should be used to give warning. It’s wrong to honk your horn to make the vehicle in front of you hurry up.)

It then suggested a radical course of vehicular modification for motorists who think other cars on the road are slowing them down.

“Pwede po kayo maglagay ng pakpak sa sasakyan kung masyado kayong mainipin.”

(You can put wings on your vehicle if you are too impatient.)

As of posting however, the LTO-NCR's post is no longer available.

Last year, Filipino inventor Kyx Mendiola made headlines by introducing a "flying car" built with parts from commercial drones.
