MANILA—The Cavite Expressway (Cavitex) and Cavitex-C5 Link will be toll-free for motorists carrying relief goods to areas affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano, the operator of the tollway said on Wednesday.
Cavitex management said private groups carrying relief goods only need to request for free passage through the tollways by sending an email to its customer service department, email@example.com.
The email should include the name of the organization, its address, target date of passage, vehicle license plate and color, point of origin and destination, and exit point.
Private groups that are part of a convoy of official relief groups, such as the PNP, military or Red Cross, will also be granted free passage without any need for formal request.
Motorists granted free passage need to use the tollways' cash lanes, the Cavitex said.
