MANILA - Billionaire Enrique Razon's International Container Terminal Services Inc is eyeing emerging markets for expansion as the US-China trade war threatens global trade growth, a company official said Thursday.

The company is always on the lookout for potential markets to add to its "well-spread" portfolio, ICTSI Global Corporate head Christian Gonzalez told ANC.

"I can tell you right now, it’s likely going to be on an emerging market," Gonzalez said.

"As China moves part of its export economy away from the US, if it has to do that, then you actually see potential for growth in the markets that we’re in," he said.

ICTSI signed a concession agreement early this year to operate a port in Sudan, which will serve as a gateway to North and Central Africa, Gonzalez said.
