MANILA -- Billionaire Enrique Razon's International Container Terminal Services Inc said Friday its subsidiary signed an agreement to operate, manage and develop a port in Sudan in northeast Africa.

ICTSI Middle East DMCC will run the South Port Container Terminal under a 20-year concession agreement with the Sea Ports Corp of Sudan, ICTSI told the stock exchange.

The 120-hectare port has container terminal assets such as cranes and a range of yard handling equipment, ICTSI said.

The transfer of facilities to ICTSI will take place in the first quarter of 2019, the statement said.
