MANILA - It was indeed a night of elegance during Metrowear Icon co-presented by Salvatore Ferragamo.
The eighth in the Metrowear Icon series, guests were welcomed by free-flowing food and drinks by the cocktail area as they gazed upon the Salvatore Ferragamo booth that displayed the latest eyewear.
As everyone waited for the show to commence, Metro Magazine, with the help of Salvatore Ferragamo representative Ms. Amii Albornoz, selected the Ferragamo Stylish Male and Female of the Night which went to furniture designer Kenneth Cobonopue and Dina Tantoco of Rustan's, respectively.
Cobonpue and Tantoco both understand luxury and epitomize a style aesthetic that is elegant and playful, something that is true to the Salvatore Ferragamo brand.
The well-attended event featured students from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, and SoFA Design Institute who showcased a 12-piece capsule collection to heat up the runway in anticipation of the main occasion: the collections by designers Chito Vijandre, Cary Santiago, Ivarluski Aseron, Mark Higgins, Joey Samson, Jojie Lloren and Milka Quin.
Each piece from the students and designers respectively featured luxurious evening and ready-to-wear pieces that match jewelry and eyewear accessories that can be the focal point of any holiday outfit.
