Doing the laundry can be tedious and time-consuming, which is why one can find so many laundry hacks online.

However, while there are many tips for making it easier to do laundry, there are not a lot for drying clothes.

Here are some hacks:

1. Toss a dry towel into the dryer

For a large load or if there's a need to dry a load quickly, toss a dry towel into the dryer for 15 to 20 minutes of the cycle and then take it out. The dry towel will absorb the moisture from the wet clothes, speeding up the drying process and helping save on energy.

2. Add balled-up sheets of aluminum foil

Dryer sheets reduce static electricity which occurs when heated clothing rubs together, but these can be very costly. Instead, try to add balled-up sheets of aluminum foil to the dryer. They decrease static build-up and help separate clothes, allowing them to dry faster. They can also be re-used for over a month which can help save a lot of money.

3. Toss in some ice cubes

Drying a small load of laundry? Cut down on wrinkles by tossing in some ice cubes with your clothes. The heat of the machine melts the ice and produces steam. This reduces the wrinkles from clothes while they are drying so one won't have to iron later, allowing one to save a lot of time and hassle.
