Have you seen this hilarious yet heartwarming Father’s Day video featuring different mall moments of a daughter with her "SuperDad"?

Directed by Gab Quimel of Artillerie Media, the now-viral video of SM Supermalls titled "Gotcha!" has hit over 3 million views and 34,000 reactions in less than a week on Facebook.

TRIBUTE TO SUPERDADS. SM Supermalls' latest addition to its internationally-acclaimed #SMoments digital video series is a comedic yet heartwarming short film titled "Gotcha!" about the unique bond between a dad and his daughter who got each other’s backs.

"This year, we chose to take a different route and highlight the unique bond that our 'SuperDads' have with their kids," said Jonjon San Agustin, SM Supermalls' senior vice-president for Marketing. "And it makes us so happy to know that netizens –young and old—related very well with this year’s story with a lot of kids and even moms sharing with us their fun DAD-ventures at SM."

But what really is the unique charm of this "SuperDad" video? Here are 3 reasons why Filipino families loved and laughed over SM’s latest addition to its #SMoments video series:

1. The daddy character is just like your dad.

The short film features a father who, just like any cool dad, might seem to be strict but will always be a super light-hearted dad who's always got his kid's back.

Even the Internet’s "Hugot Genius," Design Pirate PH took notice of the character and even spawned a couple of memes about the SM’s video.

2. It highlights the unique bond of a father and daughter.

Considered as the "directors of fun," the story celebrates our uniquely adorable dads and how they inspire us to live a little lighter and have more fun.

The short film features some favorite daddy-daughter bonding mall spots and scenarios that complement the fun nature of Father’s Day and the duo’s relationship.

3. It reminds us to appreciate our "SuperDads" more.

Usually, fathers are not as expressive as mothers. Because of this, we tend to overlook how much they love us and how they are willing to sacrifice everything for our family. Through the video, netizens realize why our dads are really SuperDads who will always support us no matter what.

This June, let’s extend the celebration of #DadsDayAtSM2019 by rewarding, pampering, playing and bonding with our "SuperDads" at their favorite SM Supermalls nationwide.
