Honor is set to launch a 'lighter' version of its flagship phone this month, showcasing dual AI cameras for those who want to take the perfect selfie, and a 6.21-inch display for a better viewing experience.
The smartphone manufacturer will introduce the Honor 10 Lite in the Philippines toward the end of January. It will initially be available January 25 on online store Shopee, followed by a nationwide release the next day.
The Honor 10 Lite features a 24MP front camera, specially designed with selfies in mind. It is equipped with enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) and 4-in-1 light fusion technology that pose a fierce challenge to competing camera phone models in the market by adjusting exposure and lighting during the day and at night—photos can be adjusted based on different lighting settings such as butterfly lighting, soft lighting, and stage lighting to name a few.
The front camera’s AI is also designed to recognize eight scenarios to best optimize the background to ensure clarity of faces in the photo. The Honor 10 Lite’s beauty AI has also been enhanced to be able to adjust a photo based on the subject’s age, gender, and skin tone, aiming for studio caliber shots, a natural look and the most attractive selfies.
Those who enjoy sharing their stories on social media should also find useful the H10 Lite front camera’s capability to take high-definition selfie videos.
With its AI-equipped 13MP dual rear cameras, the H10 Lite can recognize objects and facial features, enhance the background to highlight the subject, customize beauty effects based on a person's appearance and take selfies at par with studio-taken photographs.
Users can also enjoy taking striking photos in the dark using the super night shoot mode, which takes a photo in under six seconds of exposure with an anti-shake feature.
The Honor 10 Lite features a dewdrop FullView display with over 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, which paves way for a more comfortable grip and larger smartphone viewing.
Like the flagship Honor 10, the Lite is dressed in vibrant gradient colors – Sapphire Blue or Midnight Black – that fade progressively from light to dark, radiating a youthful and natural design.
Despite being a lighter version of Honor 10, the processing and phone features are similar, with a battery life that can last for an entire day with a single charge.
The Honor 10 Lite comes with storage of 64 gigabyte (GB) that can be expanded to up to 512GB.
For gaming enthusiasts, the Honor 10 Lite offers an immersive gaming experience with its cutting-edge graphics processing GPU Turbo for stable gameplay.
Other features include noise reduction for improved call quality, AI translator for travelers, AI scan-to-purchase for easy searching of products, video enhancer for better streaming quality, and fingerprint sensor for security.
